Week 6

This week we're starting our Project 1, so we have briefed about this project before & this week we have to bring our sketch idea so Mr.Jeff & Mr.Martin can give us feedback and say is it okay or not. So, I made my sketch.

1. Mango Turtle

Feedback
When I showed version 1 to Mr.Martin he said that it's okay but the idea is still not there. But I still not got what he meant, so I made the second one, he said let's try with that thing, actually I just move the turtle body to the mango pic (fig 6.2 right) but Mr.Martin suggested to move the mango to the left and make it just 1 mango instead of just put the turtle body into the mango pic.
Reflection
When I saw it I think it's not going to work because it does not look realistic, so I decided to do another thing.
2. Pineapple Building

I got this idea because I saw my sketch, I combine the snail + city and the pineapple mowhawk hair. Because when I think it's hard to do the snail one so I do this. My idea about this is that 'Pineapple' is one of the famous building in New york city.
Feedback
When Mr.Martin saw this, he asks me why do I like pineapple so much, so I said I don't know haha. But he still said that the idea still not there.
Reflection
Actually, I like this one, but because Mr.Martin still didn't see the idea so I tried again & again.

3. Baby Carrot

I want to make ' baby carrot ' so I put a random baby face in the carrot and became ' Baby carrot '

Mr.Martin didn't say anything about this.
Reflection
I like it but it's not realistic so I don't like it.
4. Flying Pan
I don't know what to do because my idea still got rejected, while i'm thinking I'm listening to ' A Whole new world ' song so i inspired by ' Alladin '.

Like I said above, I inspired by Alladin so instead of flying carpet I change it into a frying pan.
Feedback
Mr.Martin just said why become Bollywood. But when I ask all my friend they said this is funny & interesting but Mr.Martin still not accepted this.
Reflection
I like it but this work still being rejected.
5. Hammer Light

So my dad came here and I travelled around KL with my dad and I inspired by the road & traffic light at KL, so suddenly I imagined a hammer become traffic light. I'm thinking this because the hammer is heavy and straight. I don't know why hammer, but suddenly this idea just came into my head.
Feedback
Mr.Martin said this can work, but why hammer? So I explained (The idea). So Mr Martin said that this project is about the whole idea, this one can work but why hammer, he said I can do this but with another thing instead of the hammer (Things that related one to another)
Reflection
I kinda like and not like it, because when I see it it looks funny but the more I see it it does not match.
6. Pepsi Building

This one is the same as the Hammer light, i took this photo of buildings while i travelled with my dad in KL. And also that cup of Pepsi is the cup that i used to pen, spoon, etc in my dorm.

Reflection
I love it, for me it looks cool.

7. Loli Stop

The Idea
I took Mr.Martin feedback/advise about the hammer light, so i'm thinking about something that related but not too related, so i'm thinking about lollipop and a stop sign.

Reflection
It looks normal for me, and the reason why i don't do this because it's hard to make the animation, i'm thinking about a car that moves so fast behind the stop sign, because the driver didn't know that this is a stop sign so the driver drive so fast. But when i think about it again it seems really complicated.
8. Silk Ocean

I inspired by the flag (displacement maps) that we've done in class exercise. So i'm thinking again about something that similar. So this came into my mind, ' a blue silk ' & ' Ship in the ocean '

Reflection
For me, it looks good if i made the water in the ship dissapear and make the ship looks like they really sailing in the ocean, but i can's find the right picture for this.
9. Iron Ship

The Idea
I took Mr.Martin advise again, so i'm thinking about something that related and this come into my mind, and i got inspiration from the 'Silk ocean' too, i saw the big ship, the surface of the ship is flat so i'm thinking about something flat too, and this Iron came to my idea, so i'm making this ship become the iron.

10. Baby Egg (Bonus)

This idea is about the baby that lives inside this egg, and he's chilling in his warm pool inside the egg, but suddenly it's crack because of the water too much and the water filling the room.

Reflection
I love this even though it still not look realistic. I still confused to submitted this one of the ' Iron ship ' one (Fig 9.4) so i submitted this two work.
