PROJECT 2 - Collaterals
For the 2nd project, we were required to make collaterals from the key artwork that we've done on project 1. But, I don't know which of my key artwork should I use, so I made few. We need to put the information from the 'Typographic system' exercise. And here are the references that Mr.Vinod gave.
Here are my attempts :
After many feedbacks here's my final.
Then after our poster approved by Mr.Vinod, we need to do our invite.
After got feedback, I improve it and this is the final.
FEEDBACK
Week 8
General Feedback: We should do enough research and do a sketch first before starting to do the project. Begin with black and white colour.
Specific Feedback: Do black and white colour first, and there's a potential to my key artwork from one of my work and try to create a new idea, Mr.Vinod likes one of my artwork, and said that that one has a potential to be a good key artwork.
Week 9
General Feedback: Do not change the key artwork, and need to finalize the key artwork before starting to do the poster.
Specific Feedback: The invite is okay but it's a bit boring try to play more on the key artwork. For the poster, it looks better now there a little thing that i need to fix. And the collateral, for the badge, needs to see the previous student's work, for the t-shirt, need to have back and front and also the tote bag, play with the shapes, please.
Week 10
General Feedback: Point size for an invite should be bigger, cause it's for social media.
Specific Feedback: Do more shapes on the collaterals, the key artwork must stand out. Mr.Vinod likes the wrist band design.
REFLECTION
EXPERIENCE:
Week 8: I thought I can do the poster, but when I showed my work to my lecturer, they were like ' what t f is this? ' so I'm sad cause I thought mine is ok but turns out no. And I agree with the things that we need to discover ourself, but with this situation, I really need full feedback from my lecturer.
Week 9: Turns out my lecturer help me and I felt grateful because of it, and from that, I can finish my work.
Week 10: I like this project because from this project we could discover and play with our creativity. But I hate the fact that we're late and need to catch up everything especially when I heard the brief about the final project, I felt like I wanna give up and don't want to do this.
OBSERVATION:
Week 8: Most of us in the class got the same problem, ' not there yet ', ' Nah, not there yet ', we had the idea but it just doesn't reach the max. And when I look at their work, everybody's work seems the same. Maybe everyone's stuck with their mind.
Week 9: I realize some of my classmates still gone, maybe because they're sick from working too hard. I don't know. We're all working in a rush, but our lecturer expects good work and a good idea from us, we just can't.
Week 10: Online class sucks, and I hate it, I believe everyone in the class does too.
FINDINGS:
Week 8: I found that even though we're tired we need to finish our task. There's no relief for us, we need to work normally as what's has planned by our lecturer.
Week 9: I regret hating physical class, cause this one sucks and make me stress. And I found that we can't rush an idea to come out with this situation, it is just so hard to produce good work.
Week 10: I found that if we work by being chased by time, we'll not be doing it 100% and we can't.

Fig 2.1: How to use Type by |
From this book, I read about spacing. The books state that the separation among letters and words is another part of dispersing that may influence neatness and meaningfulness. The alteration of room between individual letterforms is normally alluded to as kerning, and the separating between letters over an area of text is known as following. A genuine case of the requirement for kerning is the place a capital "An" and "V" are adjoining. In the event that the space between the two letterforms isn't diminished, they look excessively far separated. Following may influence the thickness of an area of the content, making it simpler or progressively hard to peruse. This is especially perceptible when you utilize a light book on a dim foundation, which is alluded to as turned around out content. Some turned around out content might be hard to peruse except if the creator includes somewhat more space.
